Arrangement Care:

Keep the vase filled to the top with clean water daily.

  • We have already treated the water in your vase with a nourishing solution so nothing else should be added but fresh water.
  • If the arrangement is in a basket or a shallow dish, please keep the floral foam saturated by filling container with water daily.

Keep the arrangement in a cool place out of direct sunlight, 65-70 degrees is best.

  • Be sure to keep the arrangement away from heating or cooling vents, radiators, fans, microwaves, television sets, computers and appliances.

Your arrangement should last 3 to 5 days with proper care.

  • Some flowers last longer than others. To keep your arrangement looking fresh, pluck the faded blooms.
  • Floral arrangements are generally meant for indoor use only.

Wrapped Cut Flower Care:

All wrapped arrangements should be kept in a cool dry place.

  • Temporarily placing them In a refrigerator is fine as long as there are no fruits or vegetables present, which produce ethylene gas and cause the flowers to mature faster.
  • Keep the bouquet in an upright position to allow the ends of the stems to stay under the water level in the water tubes.

When you are ready to place your flowers in water remove wrapping, and water tubes.

  • To extend the life of flowers, stems should be cut under water:
    1. Fill a low bowl with at least 3 inches of water.
    2. Using a sharp knife (non-serrated) or floral clippers, cut each stem to desired length.
    3. Next, submerge each stem under the water level.
    4. While stem remains submerged, cut _ inch off of the bottom of the stem (cutting under water).
    5. After cutting under water, quickly insert wet stem into final vase.

Flower Food packets can be purchased for $.50 and can be added to vase water.

Orchid Care:

Light: Requires bright light, no direct sun when plant is in bloom.

Water: Water when the potting medium is dry one inch below the top (this will probably be once a week). The potting medium must be completely moistened. The pot must be soaked in room temperature water for 10-15 minutes. Remove orchid pot from decorative container. You can fill a larger container with water and submerge the orchid pot, or you can place the plant in a sink and allow room temperature water to gently flow through pot for 10 minutes.

  • Make sure you allow the pot to drain thoroughly before placing back into its decorative container, never let plant sit in water.

Temperature: Most orchids prefer living in temperatures between 60 and 80 degrees F.

  • Keep Orchid away from heating and cooling vents, radiators, fans, appliances, televisions and computers.

Fertilizing is unnecessary, it is easy to burn the roots.

Do not transplant!
